Upon arrival at the head of Loch Ailort, we will take a few minutes to have a chat about peoples experience, the outline of the trip, expectations and equipment. Once we have everything in order we will get on the water, chat through some skills and techniques to help people become more comfortable and confident in their boats, before paddle down the loch towards the open sea and on towards Glen Uig, where we have a pub for the evening to have food and a few drinks.
After breakfast, we have a chat about the conditions and the plan for the day. Heading off around the headlands and islands guarding Loch Ailort as we head towards Loch nan Uamh, and if your lucky you might get to see the famous 'Harry Potter' train pass by with its steam bellowing out of the funnel. Onward along the coastline towards the golden sands of Arisaig, where we plan to camp wild for the night on the islands, hopefully with a beautiful sunset over dinner.
Waking up on a small island can be a very memorable experience, with only you, your team and kayaks that are shut off from the mainland. We get set for the day, packed up and chat through conditions and plans before setting off with a short crossing between the islands to explore the remaining coast line before finishing in Mallaig.
It's all over too soon! We get packed up and make our way back home, dropping off at Inverness train station before saying our goodbyes!
