Starting off with the classic of Ben Nevis, Ledge Route. Taking in the grandeur of the fortress of the north face, which at first glance seems impenetrable but with a little route finding we weave our way through some jaw dropping terrain but never too difficult.
School House Ridge gives us the opportunity to have a slightly harder day in terms of a few tricky steps along the ridge. With the views across to Ben Nevis, Glencoe and Ardnamurchan it's a memorable day for another classic ascent.
Regarded as some as one of the finest mountaineering routes in the UK and sought after by many. The terrain is never too difficult but the views and positions are amongst the best, even for the west coast of Scotland! It also leads us onto the summit of Ben Nevis before making our way down via either ledge route or number 4 gully if safe to do so.
A classic in summer and sought after by every mountaineer in the winter months, the infamous Aonach Eagach will leave a lasting impression for life, there is no doubt about that! With it's steep drops, technical ups and downs and constant interest throughout it will keep the mind focused and heart pounding until we make the last ascent for Sto Corie Leith.
The final day and potentially weary legs, we will plan this day around how people are feeling and the current conditions. An option could be to head for the ridge on Stob Corie Sgreamhach.
Ideal for those looking to experience the challenges and excitement of winter climbing while building confidence in snowy and icy conditions. Days may focus on guided climbing or skill development, with routes selected to suit your experience and goals. This is a perfect opportunity to explore Scotland’s winter landscapes with the support of an experienced guide.
Previous experience using crampons is essential, and a background in rock climbing or scrambling is highly beneficial. Depending on the day, you may focus on guided climbs or refining techniques such as moving on mixed terrain, placing protection in winter conditions, and ropework. A good level of fitness is required, as the terrain and conditions can be physically demanding.
